  • ZipRecruiter Software Engineer
    • ZipRecruiter is looking for a Software Engineer to join our Security Development team. This role will work in cybersecurity software development and assist with security operations at ZipRecruiter. Perl knowledge is not necessary, but a willingness to work in Perl is. The Software Engineer will build and integrate security-related software and have an interest in software security. They will participate in development of authentication, authorization, and encryption applications and improve the protections extended to ZipRecruiter clients and job seekers.  This hands-on role will collaborate with engineering and product teams and help ZipRecruiter to continue to adapt to ever changing cybersecurity threats.   • Student Developer at Computer Science
    • The Computer Science Department has an immediate opening for a student developer. This person is responsible for maintaining and updating internal department web-based applications and assisting faculty and research groups with deploying their own websites and applications. The person in this position will be expected to work mostly remotely, with occasional video or text meetings, and on-campus only if necessary. Applicants should have good communication skills and enjoy working in a collaborative environment. This position is open only to active students at Kansas State University. Starting pay is $11.00/hr. Preferred skills include

  • K-MAR-105 Association Programmer and Systems Developer
    • The K-MAR-105 Association (Kansas – Management, Analysis and Research for 105 counties) is a not-for-profit education corporation associated with the Department of Agricultural Economics at Kansas State University, K-State Research and Extension, and the Kansas Farm Management Association program (KFMA). This position is an appointment of the K-MAR-105 Association providing programming support for the software and data management systems used within the KFMA program. Responsibilities include: Maintenance of existing analysis software and research database using .Net Microsoft technologies (C# with MVC, SQL Server); Web development for most of the software, and to Diagnose and resolve problems reported by clients (KFMA Economists and staff working in the KFMA program, and researchers in the Department of Agricultural Economics).  A Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or related field is required.     • The KDD Lab in the Computer Science Department at K-State under Dr. Hsu is hiring an Undergraduate Research Programmer for research projects in the areas of artificial intelligence and high-performance computing.     • The Department of Student Athlete Services is seeking tutors and academic mentors for the Spring semester, training provided. All tutoring will be online via Zoom.   • Detail Technical Student Office Math Dept.

    • For undergraduate students who are interested in detailed minutia of office work: detailed work such as proofing, filing, checking correspondences for errors, composing individualized correspondences, and merging letters for grading and scholarship offers. This position maintains records for recruitment, retention and assessment. Students in this position will work on computers, databases, spreadsheets, form letters, marketing designs and a ton of scanning and some filing. We are looking for someone interested in exploring and automating data mining projects (software, lead guidance and a little technical help provided as you learn and create data mining tools for us). English proofing and critical thinking skills are another area we could use help in as well as marketing design skills.     • The Department of Computer Science at Colorado State University seeks applications in the 2020-2021 academic year from individuals who are interested in a long-term career in academia but feel it would be beneficial to have a few years of practical experience before accepting a tenure track position at a leading research university. The Computer Science Scholar program provides an appointment combining teaching and research responsibilities with university career development programs and mentorship from department faculty.  A Scholar will teach a mix of department courses and also develop at least one course in their preferred field. A Scholar is expected to supervise a modest research program comprising work by undergraduate or master’s degree students or both.   • EECS at Washington State University Assistant Professor 
    • The School of EECS at Washington State University (WSU) invites applications for multiple full-time faculty positions at the Scholarly Assistant Professor rank in Computer Science. The position will be based at WSU Pullman or WSU Everett.   • California State University Assistant Professor CS
    • The College is searching for good candidates for a tenure-track position starting in Fall 2021. The priority will be given to the field of Cyber Security or closely related fields, but all other fields will also be considered. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate students, be active in scholarly and applied research involving students, and engage in service activities. The initial scan will start in early January but the process will continue until the position is filled. Candidates shall have the ability to teach a broad range of undergraduate computer science courses to students with diverse socioeconomic backgrounds, preparation, and career goals. An ongoing commitment to improving teaching effectiveness and student engagement is required. The instructional workload is 12 Weighted Teaching Units (WTUs) per semester. However, as part of a start-up package in the first two academic years, the Department and College provide substantial release from teaching responsibilities to allow new faculty time for developing their research agenda and integration of their research and teaching.
